roaaaar
so this is an update!
it's saturday night. i should be super tired but i'm not which is very very very annoying. today was rather boring, just work and a nap with some pizza and lovely rosie chat time.
incredibly glad to have english over and done with. never again will i need to over study and thus ruin a story!!! and writing can be for the fun of it rather then to be examined which unusually i'm quite excited about because i've never been much of a writer. this will change.
and to prove this.... here is the beginning of a poem rosie challenged me to write.
it doesn't have a name yet, perhaps it will once more is written? anywho, this it it:
Little white mice with tails to find
Through private passage shall scurry and plunder.
No prisoners are taken nor treasures desired
The bullets only slow the line
Darkened days shall call for our little white knights
that boldly go where one man should venture
These heroic minties do seek no praise,
Their selfless aid will be rid and replaced
thats about it for that one now!
today on the way home from work found a cool bike, gonna fix it up and ride everywhere. hopefully it's cheap to fix... it looks pretty groovy too, it's green.
maths on monday, it'll be super amazing once thats over. then it's just wood work to go, the a year of music and art:) looking forward to it alot.
any comments about the poem? question? can you work out what it's about? lots of kudos if you get it right first go and don't ask rosie...

boy meets girl
i was reading josh harris' book boy meets girl today and came across this really great bit about glorifying god with what you've got. just thought i might share this little chunkette with you:
... You might be asking, "How am i supposed to obey God's commands and follow his principles when my circumstances are so different from those of other people?" Let me try to explain.
Imagine you're a student in an art class. You and dozens of classmates are learning from a master painter. One day your teacher displays a painting of his own. It's an incredible work of art, and he wants you to copy it.
You're about to begin working when you turn to look at the person next to you. You're surprised to note that he has a larger brush than yours and a differently shaped canvas. You look around at the rest of the class. Some students have acrylic paint, others watercolor, still other oil-and everyone has different colors. Though you al have the same assignment, you each have c0mpletely different materials.
This frustrates you. Some students have materials you would prefer for yourself. Why should they get them? You're not the only student to notice the disparity. A hand goes up. A girl to the left of you with only a ragged brush and three pale shades of blue on her palette is noticeably agitated."This isn't fair," she tells the teacher."How do you expect me to duplicate your painting when the people around me have so many more colors to choose from?"
The teacher smiles. "Don't worry about the other students," he says."I've carefully chosen the brushes and paints that each of you has. Trust me. You have what you need to complete the assignment. Remember your goal is not to create a painting that mirrors the person next to you, but to do your best with the materials I've given you to create a picture faithful to my painting."
the context of that was all about relationships (of the romantic kind) and how you shouldn't be using other peoples relationships as a step-by-step manual, but instead and inspiration. even though josh was using it as an analogy for relationships, but i think it applies to all areas of life really.
it goes along with the esky thing tim said last week at church. if god is your esky ie. big thing central in your life, you'll be doing everything you can to glorify god with what you've be given.
and now, it is time for sleepies.

late one
today i belonged for hours... then went for a walk to mac centre to catch a train to maddy's.
izzy was a bit crazy as per usual. i took milo out for a walk upon which he ate a few tasty tasty morsels like jacaranda pods, sticks... almost a cockatoo, dead bat and very nearly a large chunk of couch fluff.
i some how managed to loose my stupid phone somewhere inbetween epping station and knox av. searched for long time with no luck making me get to maddys alot than expected. it turns out some legend picked it up and called my mum or something so i went and picked it up from him :)
the evenin was really nice with mad and rosie, chillin n' chattin.
praying for you sten
doesn't it surprise you sometimes or make you angry, the stuff you don't actually know about people you thought you knew really well? like stuff you thought someone would share... anyway!

dark
so.
while i sit here and ponder my existence, i'll type out some thoughts, reflections and pretty much just what ever comes to mind.
tims sermon tonight has made me think, what is my esky? or in others words, what is that thing in my life that stops me putting jesus above all other things? it's a really tough question, makes you think about whether you're actually living 100% for christ or for some other thing or person.
tim also made sense of that part in luke 12 that says if you don't hate your family you can't be a disciple for christ. have a look at it!!! it really confused me till tim explained it doesn't mean literally hate your family but put christ above them. another very challenging concept...
This weekend was really great!
had a great friday with my cousin boaz who journeyed up from melbourn. spent the day getting the place tidy for the party. bo stayed the night and we had some good bonding time. made me realise how much i really miss my melb cousins, totally cannot wait to see them next holidays!!
then on saturday a nice mix of family came over at about 10am for some sweet sweet brunch pizza and time together under the bus shed. wonderfun! izzy was a little crazy all day but really fun.
the afternoon was mainly setting up for the evening. kirsten came over early which was really awesome of her! thanks heaps for the help sten :)
people started arriving and the bohemian festivitivities were underway! pizza happen at about 8 30 and people appeared to enjoy it. nonna put sooooooooooo much work into it. i love my mummy!
and then.
the most exciting part of the evening....
cake!!
and not just any cake.... a drum cake!!!!! oh my gosh it was absolutely amazing!! thankyou so much to rosie, bella, megan and sarah who lovingly made that masterpiece :)
i was unbelievably excited when i saw it coming down the stairs. i was literally jumping for joy!
i spent the evening wandering and chatting with as many people as possible, thankyou so much to everybody that made it! it wouldn't of been the same if any of you weren't there.
the fire pit was a hit, kept people warm and entertained into the wee hours of the morning.
some of my dudes stayed the night, we played n64 and went for a walk to get jeremy to the station only to get there shortly after the train left *frown*. ended up gettin back home about 5! arose this morning at 10, played some more n64. the guys were all gone by 2 30. then the clean up happened.... which wasn't hard! not much mess, just had to clean all the random bit of food that were attracting anties, pick up all the cans and pack down the chade houses. had a late nap before church.
After church went to max brenna with the crew for some chocoliscious fellowship. love you guys!
tomoro rosie and bella are coming over for some study in the sun. yay!
however now it is very late. off to bed!
